3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect exclusively for the following purposes:
- Providing, maintaining, and improving the Service.

4. Data Sharing
Bentry does not sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to third parties for their own commercial purposes. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, and only to the extent necessary:
- Paddle (payment processor and merchant of record) — for payment processing, tax calculation, and invoice generation.
- Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, and storage services) — for operating the Service. These providers process data under data processing agreements and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- AI model providers — user queries are transmitted to third-party AI providers to generate research responses. We select providers whose API terms prohibit using input data for model training. No personally identifiable account information is included in these requests.
- Legal compliance — we may disclose data if required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.

- Session state necessary for navigation and application functionality.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics tracking tools. No data collected through browser storage is shared with third parties.

Your data is stored on servers operated by reputable cloud infrastructure providers. We implement commercially reasonable security measures, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
- Encryption of data at rest.
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only.
- Regular security reviews and updates.
While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
